Our Coaches
Our coaching staff are professional coaches committed to developing players to reach their highest potential. All Mayhem head coaches are former professional and college level players and coaches.
COACH GREG
Coach Greg has had a passion for baseball his whole life. During his high school tenure, he helped lead his team to win the state championship and was named the 2001 Gatorade State Player of the Year for Maine and the 2001 John Winkin Maine State Player of the Year.
Coach Greg went on to play at the University of Maine on a baseball scholarship. During his time there he helped bring his team to two NCAA World Series regionals.
Greg’s relentless dedication, and hard work landed him with the Atlanta Braves where he played professionally for six years. He was honored with the Atlanta Braves Bill Lucas Award in 2009.
Passionate about helping kids learn the fundamentals of baseball, and teaching his love of the game, Coach Greg has committed the last 13 years as a private baseball instructor and coach. In 2018 he founded The Mayhem Nation travel baseball organization. And most recently, in 2022 he was inducted into the Baseball Hall of Fame for the state of Maine. In 2022, he also accepted the position as Head Baseball Coach for Braden River High School in Bradenton, FL.
MEET OUR HEAD COACHES
COACH STEPHEN
Coach Stephen brings a wealth of experience, knowledge and leadership to the Mayhem organization. Stephen started his playing career locally at Twin Lakes Little League in Sarasota, followed by Riverview High School from which he was recruited to play at the University Tampa. As an outfielder at University of Tampa, Coach Stephen helped lead his team to two National Championships. While at UT, he was a two time All-American and National Player of the Year finalist.
Coach Stephen was then drafted in the 25th round by the Arizona Diamondbacks. Coach Stephen received his degree in Public Health from UT, and is now a First Responder/Fire Fighter for Sarasota County. We thank him for his service and dedication to our community and our players.
COACH ROB "DUKE"
Coach Duke brings years of experience both on the field, and in the dugout coaching and mentoring players. A Florida native, Coach Duke began his baseball career at Palmetto high school. He went on to play collegiate baseball at Clafin University, where his team won the 2012 conference championship.

His experience and love for the game has only grown and in 2018 Coach Duke walked away from the corporate world to focus full time as a private baseball instructor and coach. He is currently the Head baseball Coach for Braden River High School JV team.
COACH SEAN
A Florida native, Coach Sean has had a passion for the game his whole life. Coach Sean brings incredible experience to the Mayhem. After helping his team win State Districts and Regional runner up his Junior year at Out-of-Door Academy, he was named to the All-State Team. That season he batted .491 and stole 47 bases in 26 games played. Both his Junior and Senior year, he was named to the All-County Team. He went on to play college baseball at Limestone College, in Gaffney, South Carolina.
